Finally back from OBS at Pulau Ubin..had great time there..getting to noe new friends and cultures..wow!! ..Late post for it though..was busy after back from OBS..yea..so did anyone missed me??..hees..Missed all my friends in HS..XTJR, Xue Qi, Shu Zhen and Reine..I'M BACK!!!..hahas..missed u guys worx..>.< ..so lonely there la..all the HLC tt went there either had their own clicks or not close to me so didnt really mix well wit the hougeans tt went.. was kinda left out during the camp bahx.. Kk..stop my nags and go on wit the camp..guess u all r interested..hahas..yep..

Day 1.. Left sch at 8.30 and head to Punggol Jetty. Was in the same group as Joanne, Velda, Kai Qi, Nicole, Vanessa, Yaohui, Jo'di (Hougean) and June, Kai Yuan, Pei Ting, Jia Sheng, Xin Ying, Halim, Jia Yi, Humairah (Riverside).

The first impression when i step into OBS campsite was "WTH?..So empty here..wat kind of activity to do sia.." Seriously..it was super rundown and theres only a old rockwall, stores for diff grps and a corner, an empty canteen wit just 2 benches, theres a whole stretch of road but construction in it..very plain..unlike the other campsite i went b4 theres stuff there to see.. Settled down into our groups. I was in Amundsen grp and our instructor name was Hyzue..

He introduced himeself then asked us to intro which cca we r in..surrendered our hp, wallet and important documents..gosh..imagine 5 days without hp..agrhh..saddies..well..just had to gt used to it..

After tt..we choose our roles but my role wasnt me who choose it just tt no one wants then just nice i sit beside teacher so kana the role as medic.. my role is just to carry the medic bag wherever i go..super heavy la..not the stuff inside but the bag itself..and like as if i had tt gd memory to rmb to take tt bulky stuff wherever i go..i am pro to known as stm.. Went to Amundsen store with the "opening of store ceremony" ..hahas..

June opened the door..the store contained many gadget and equipments tt will help us throughout the 5 days.. We were told tt we will be staying in tents..was flabergasted..in tent?? ..omg..first time i'm gonna sleep in tent and sqeezing wit others?..ehx..

so off we go, fill up all the bottles with water, bringing out the tents from the store and pack into 3 sets. One tent can fit comfortably 5 ppl. so one tent will have 6 ppl.. After packing ponchos, tents, food..we went to another hall n packed our food stuff .we had our happy meal for each individual tt last us for 5 days..contains some biscuits, oreo, milo powder, horlick, oat bars..yum yum.. ther were LOADS of canned food ,instant noodles and biscuit packs .theres corn, peanut, ikan bilis, sardine, 2 packets of rice, maggies, sausages, campbell, button mushrooms..yup..

after tt ,we played the squrriel and hunter game and a new game . after tt went back to the store n took hunners and helmet for the nxt activity .which was bellaying..it consist of 4 ppl per grp..climber, bellayer, anchorman and the rope manager..was really fun..hahas

Hyzue gave us a tok bout wat r the things in the 1st aid kit ,wat r the things tt we're suppose to do when we see bees ,jelly fishes ,wild boars ,hornets and when we kana injured or chased by them .

After tt went to a grass patch with a stairs with bout 5 steps ,den above it was a board with a plastic sheet with handles . we were told to hold the handles ,den one person will fall frm the board n land on the sheet .the 1st was kaiqi..the feelin of it was feeling like suicide but when eu fall its actually fun..woots!!train us to trust each other .

Later, Hyzue took out 4 large majong paper tt had his drawings which he called "Window To Our Soul". The nxt sheet had a colourful girl (KIKO)withought face. We were instructed to draw our desirable features. The third sheet was a black and white boy (MADIEE)without face which we are suppose to draw our undesirable features on him. The last sheet was on the pregression of our group..from forming to storming to norming to performing..

Went to pitch our tent..was deciding on who sleeping at which tent..was pissed at tt time cos they were splitting members like..the skinny one here and the rest there..wadever la..fat jiu fat lo..i don deny but the prob is..FAT ppl gt 6 in a tent while the SKINNY one only gt 5 in the tent..where gt proportionate?? .. still say alternate..if alternate shift i don see a diff cos in the first place they say skinny here and there then later they see i change face liaox then they come tell me this..come on la..then won the FAT ppl mix wit eu all SKINNY ones??! .. wats the diff u all tell me..am i wrong to be angry?..u all just settle stuff eurselfves so tt eu all will be comfortable or maybe eu don have tt intention but put eurself in our shoe la..all eu all decide..then others have no choice liaox.. helped the other grp to pitch their tent which is also the tent that i'm gonna join..my tent mates would be Nicole, June, Pei Ting, XinYing, and Humairah.

After tt he told us tt the nxt day we're gng to visit an old lady tt is still livin in ubin ,so he wants us to draw and giv some of our food to her . we discussed for a while bt b4 we can finish ,its time for dinner .instructor taught us how to cook the can food..helped us to cook rice .& taught us hw to open up the cans with the jack knife n flatten them .

Had curry chicken cum sausage, rice, sardine..used the solid fuel to start the fire..first time in camp do self cooking worx..usually gt ppl cook de..feeling gd!!..hahas..forget to bring utensils for myself though..nv read the list properly..no choice share wit friends..ate wit Vanessa and Yaohui..after dinner, went to wash the utensils before packing them back to the store..had some practice on fire alarm..


Day 2 woke up at 5+ need to assemble by 6.30 but we were late for 30 mins..kana punishment from instructor..running for 3 roundsthe campsite then 30 push ups, sit ups, jumping jack...phew..was really tiring..

then we played some scissors, paper, stone game..joanne was the champion..lucky was in her grp the other grp lost so need to do jumping jack..hahas..

had rock climbing after breakfast..the weather was super hot at tt time..almost being roasted.. didnt manage to reach the goal..too afraid of height liaox..>.< ..but well had the first experience of rock climbing..hahas..

Had lunch after tt then preparation for kayaking..suppose to partner Joanne but later she wan partner Velda cos Velda nt partner..so change to Nicole..yup..

before we start kayaking, Hayzue eveyone had to soak their heads into the sea and say good afternoon sea in eng ,chi n malay..hahas..

kayaking was super fun but me and nicole keep turning rounds and rounds cos cnt gt the hang of the momentem so in the end mix up all the strokes..Learned 4 strokes..Front kayak, Back kayak, Sweep stroke and Stern ruddle. We've also learned how to capsize and back onto the kayak again..group wit Xin Ying and June for capsize part..We also played wit the jellyfishes(of course is the small and non poisonous one) soft, jelly and slimy..was cute..there blue, pink and white version..hahas.. Went for Jetty jump after tt..ooo!!..was super fun..my first time having jetty jump in open sea..had to just from a wooden plank the arm cross over chest and jump down..wow!! water was warm..swam back to shore then wen to jump again..Me, Vanessa, Joanne, Velda and Yaohui jumped twice..others didnt manage cos it started raining.went to gt our stuff as we are moving to a new campsite..but due to the bad weather it was changed..we will remain in the same campsite but diff area..

Ate dinner wit Riverside ppl cos felt left out by the hougean..i felt a sense of belonging when together with the Riverside ppl..had dinner with Peiting, Xinying, Kaiyuan and June..hahas..Battuta grp was cheering loudly cos all the hyper ppl just nice same grp then they started cheering which was really fun..hahas..then out of the blue my sch and Riverside started competing cheers with each other..

After dinner Hyzue passed us some majong paper to draw something for the old lady..we drew hearts with wishes on it..

Abt 10+ at night we went for confidents walk in the forest with Battuta..we are suppose to walk through a small length in the forest in the dark alone then to a ending point..there, another instructor will lead us to a tunnel..We must feel through as the tunnel is too dark for us to see..manage to gt over it though i'm afraid of the dark..no choice if nt i will be stuck ther forever..eeeek..!..I was the last of the hougean to do the confident walk..yep..cheers can be heard while waiting..my butt sore while sitting on the rocks..ouch! ..after tt was reflection then bed time zzzzzZZZZzzzZZZzz...

Day 3 Had a bad night..was sleeping face to face with her then she was snoring right after she lie on the mat..gosh..its like "muscical" getting louder and louder..then she was blowing air onto my face..omg..cnt slp the whole night..cnt turn the other side cos the tent too small to move..no choice but to breathe in the *immortal air* ..grhh..bad night..

Packed our stuff for land expedition..alot of bags worx..10 bags all tgt plus each ppl must carry 2 waterbottle..

well..i was carrying 4 water bottle and my medic bag..super heavy la..its worse than carrying bag pack cos all the weight is on my arm..then they like so inconsiderate la..though i'm nt carrying any bag pack but the water bottles and medic bag is enough to kill my arm liaox..u all still ask my carry fruits..siao la..but no choice later i nv carry they show attitude again and I HATE IT!!!

We back ppl actually carry much heavier stuff than in front..just tt it looks the other way round..cos all the weight will be on the arm..at least bag gt support..hand don have lo..Lucky beside me gt JiaYi..he super cute la..cos i nt used to carry heavy stuff..so cannot tahan the weight on my arm then keep stopping..he see liaox then come help me..his hand already gt 2 bottles each la..plus he is carrying a back pack lerhs..so i insist on carrying it..then we continue to walk..few metres later cnt stand it le..dop the stuff on the floor so he help me carry the fruits..then carry on..after than drop again..he then insisted on helping me say " we cnt afford our medic to be down" ..lolx...no choice let him carry another water bottle..now his hand gt 5 water bottles and a fruit..omg..impressive la..i cnt even carry it..superman lerh he..gosh..then continue walking..super lots of mosquitoes flying here and there..ground gt ands and they BITE!..hate them..agrhhh..Dx .. The front ppl like no patience la..say back ppl keep stopping..but they themself oso gt stop lo..keep blaming others..wats their prob...we are a grp lerhs..others need help cnt stop and wait then they need help we all must surround them and lend a helping hand..wat logic..we nt walking slowly oso lo..we were concentrating on catching up but the front ppl just concentrate on theirselves..just becos of their tiredness..wadever..i had enough of these kind of ppl..as long as i do my best..i don care wad others say..my conscience is clear.. We walked towards the old aunty's hse..when walking towards her hut, there were pineapple, limes, rambutans and many other more plants..

Was flabergasted when i saw her hut..she slept on broken benches..her cloths have holes and are limited.she had 2dogs with her..chat with the aunty and she was 62 i guess..we asked how long she stay there le..and guess wat since 14!! the place she stay is really oolu..no tv, bo fan, no ntg...i cnt imagine myself there..heartache when i say tt..She will have her afternoon nap under the tree where its not so hot but cosy and windy there..we asked her y she dun wanna move out & stay with her children in s'pore(she's 65) she says tt she's been livin there for 45 yrs le .she gt feelins for ubin ,so she wanna stay there .plus the government nt using tt piece of land so they ask her to stay ..if they need they will give her a sum of money..

Hyzue told us that she is the only one that can see a cow at her plantation everyday..but once the cow sense ppl coming it will go away to hide..they say its a legend cos only she can see..Aunty told us theres monkey and wild boars coming to her place to steal her food..lolx..so the *thieves* there are nt human but animals..lolx..funny..=D ..

After a short break we continued our walk to the freshwater Quarry!!YIPEEE!!!The weather so hot..with our hand and back carry such heavy stuff..we finally saw WATER!!!Everyone super happy la..dying to jump into the water right away..hahas..

we changed into our wet clothes then form a human chain to bring the equipments down to the quarry so its much easier..move down equipments like ropes, pipes, barrels to build a raft...gonna be fun..its my first time also..hahas..but too bad..i want in UG so nv learn how to tie rope..let those*pros* to tie..yup..i was at the side playing wit fishes..hahas..using my cap as *net*..hahas..then swim abt the water..so cooling..first time in freshwater ..woots!! After binding all the ropes to put the barrels and pipes tgt..we are all ready to set off!!..I was at the side to paddle..sat with Halim..behind me was Jo'di and PeiTing..

after tt we're suppose to jump frm the barrel into the freshwater .june was abit scared to jump .bt in the end she did it !=]CHEERS FOR JUNE !!hahas..

After everyone jumpoff..we are suppose to pull the raft back to shore buy swimming..In the end..started to compete with Battuta see which grp reach first..we were like "123 PULL!123 PULL!" then Battuta oso copy us then we whole grp say "COPY CAT" lolx..but they continue..later we were at the back of them then this time we say "ANYHOW PULL! ANYHOW PULL!"..lolx..super funny la..In the end we won!!!Yipeee!! after tt we dispatched the raft ,kept everything ,changed back to our dry clothings & continued with the hikin .for 3 KM..

Was hikin with June..lolx..instead of concentrating on the hiking which make us more tired..we look at the scenery to distract us awhile..theres some nice building over there..thought we staying there then in the end realised its a villa..gt arcade, spa...so cnt be..lolx..crazy me..reached the new campsite at bout 5+..it's at the beach .WOOHOOS!.. the toilet was super far from our campsite so wan go toilet must very urgent then go if nt very mafan.. few of us cooked dinner ,the rest pitched tents . ..continue other day..been on this blog for like 10 hrs +...>.< ..yup..tatas=)
